RUSSIAN / AZERBAIJANIAN NIGHT !

Last friday we kept on our new-tradition and got to try some new international home-made food. Leyla, my Kazakh roommate cooked for us ! However, her parents are from Azerbaijan (a little country south-west of Kazakhstan, you should maybe have a look at the map for your personal culture if you never heard of that place) and Kazakhstan is mostly influenced by the Russian culture because it use to be part of the Soviet Union and even was a Russian colony before than. So, that's explain a bit the origin of what ended up smelling incredibly good on our italian table.

There you go, let's move to Far East Europe !

Crab, Corn & Egg salad and Pirozhki (dough filled with mashed potatoes and caramelized onions)

Hingal (minced beef with onions, garlic and tomatoes normally served on thin sheet of dough...But pasta were used in this case)
Served with a Yoghourt and Garlic sauce

Charlotte's Cake... Vanilla flavored cake with apple and strawberries
